StartGrowingFood.com may collect, store and use personal data to provide use of the Service, technical support, and respond to Users’ inquiries.
We may take photos of the attendees and vendors in attendance at any of our events, trade shows or exhibitions (“Event”) for upcoming marketing purposes. By attending an Event, you authorize and consent to the use of any such photo by us for the purpose of marketing StartGrowingFood.com or the Event by any means including print, television, online or as otherwise determined by us.
Admission is subject to compliance with all laws, facility rules, and event policies. Failure to comply with laws, facility rules, or event policies, may result in refusal of admission or expulsion.. Ticket holders acknowledges alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, cameras, recording devices and packages are not permitted on the premises. The use of camera’s within the event are not permitted without prior written consent by any third parties not employed directly by GF Events Ltd and StartGrowingFood.com.
Additionally, if you are an attendee at an Event, you must be aware that the vendors at the Event are not sponsored by, or otherwise affiliated with StartGrowingFood.com. We are not responsible for those vendors, the content of their products or services, the use of information you provide to them at the Event, or any products or services they may offer. You recognize and agree that StartGrowingFood.com is not liable for a third party’s use of your personal data and you should review the privacy policies of these third parties prior to disclosing your personal data.
2.1.4. Purchase Order for StartGrowingFood.com
If you purchase a ticket to attend an Event (“Order”), we will collect personal data including your name and email address from you. StartGrowingFood.com will only use such information to send you information and updates pertaining to your Order unless otherwise requested by you.
All billing and payment information that you provide to complete your Order is processed by a third party, such as PayPal (“Payment Processor”). Personal data obtained for an Order, such as credit card information, billing information and Payment Processor account information (but excluding your name and email address which StartGrowingFood.com retains) (“Payment Information”), is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and encrypted in the Payment Processors database. After an Order, your Payment Information will not be retained by StartGrowingFood.com.

Additionally, StartGrowingFood.com may collect, store, and use personal data to solicit Users’ feedback to help improve the Service and other StartGrowingFood.com products, inform Users about new products or promotional material offered by StartGrowingFood.com or its trusted third party business partners and affiliates, notify Users about changes to the Service or other products, provide Users with advertising and marketing material from StartGrowingFood.com and its trusted business partners and communicate with Users for other commonly accepted purposes such as notifying them that they are a potential winner of a contest.

Users may contribute user generated content (“User Generated Content”) to the Service, including but not limited to, recipes as part of the Baker’s Challenge Contest. Any information which Users choose to disclose when contributing User Generated Content to the Service is public information and there is no expectation of privacy or confidentiality. StartGrowingFood.com is not responsible for any personal data you choose to make public on the Service.
StartGrowingFood.com does not knowingly collect any personal data from persons under the age of eighteen (18) years of age and if StartGrowingFood.com learns that it has inadvertently collected or stored personal data from children under the aforementioned age without the consent of their legal guardian, StartGrowingFood.com will take reasonable measures to promptly erase such personal data from its records.

By taking action to gain entrance to the StartGrowingFood.com, I agree to this release agreement and I confirm and agree that i waive certain legal rights as set out below, including the right to sue, or claim compensation from the releasees (as defined below) in relation to any personal injury sustained, or property damage suffered, by me during or arising from my attendance of the event described below. I have read this release agreement carefully and have had sufficient time to obtain legal advice before signing it.
The event which is organized by GF Events Ltd. (the “corporation”) and its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives and any other person who has the legal right to claim against the corporation by way of indemnity, subrogation or otherwise (collectively, the “releasees”). by attending the event i agree that i am assuming all risks including the risk that i may sustain personal injury or suffer property damage while on the premises at which the event is held or thereafter. such injury or property damage may occur under many different circumstances including a fall or collision, the consumption of a harmful substance (such as gluten or an allergen), fire, flooding, being struck by, or coming into contact with, a dangerous object, or arising from the actions of others (such as a fight or riot), in consideration of the releasees agreeing to my attendance at the event and permitting my admittance onto the premises at which the event is held and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, i, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors and personal representatives, agree that I unconditionally and irrevocably waive any and all claims that i have, or may in the future have, against the releasees and release the releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense, or injury, including death, that i may suffer, as a result of my attendance at the event due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory or other duty of care, including any duty of care owed under any statute including the occupiers liability act r.s.b.c. 1996, c. 337 by or on the part of the releasees, and further including any failure on the part of the releasees to take reasonable action to safeguard or protect me from the risks, dangers and hazards of attending the event; however, nothing in this release agreement affects my legal right to claim against any person who is not a releasee.
I acknowledge that i have taken the time necessary to consider the effect of accepting this release agreement and have had sufficient opportunity to consult legal counsel. i further acknowledge and confirm that the terms of this release agreement are reasonable in the circumstances and that they are governed by the laws of British Columbia. In consideration of GF Events Ltd. (the “corporation”) and its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives and each other person who has the legal right to claim against the corporation by way of indemnity, subrogation or otherwise (collectively, the “releasees”) agreeing to my attendance at the event for which this ticket is issued (the “event”) and permitting my admittance onto the premises at which the event is held and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, i, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors and personal representatives, agree that by attending the event i unconditionally and irrevocably waive any and all claims that i have, or may in the future have, against the releasees and release the releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense, or injury, including death, that i may suffer, as a result of my attendance at the event to the extent due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory or other duty of care, including any duty of care owed under any statute including the occupiers liability act r.s.b.c. 1996, c. 337 by or on the part of the releasees, and further including any failure on the part of the releasees to take reasonable action to safeguard or protect me from the risks, dangers and hazards of attending the event. If i do not agree with these terms and the waiver of liability, i understand that i may return my ticket to the corporation prior to the event for a full refund. i further understand that nothing herein affects my legal right to claim against any person who is not a releasee.
